I support more funding for the NC Pre-K program. It is critical that no eligible four-year-old child be denied access to a high-quality educational experience that enhances school readiness. Research shows that children are more prepared for Kindergarten and do better in learning to read if they attend a good preschool program. Please provide additional funding for early childhood programs and make sure that there is enough NC Pre-K funding that we do not deny any eligible children a slot in this essential education program.
