Based on this ruling, Judge David Lee asked an independent research firm (West ED) to make recommendations on how NC could ensure that all children receive a “sound basic education.” Our discussion will include details about these critical areas of need and the required funding ($8.7M over the next eight years) along with the actions needed by NC legislators to comply with this court ruling.
